What versions of Palm OS® are your products compatible with?All of our products are compatible with Palm OS® 3.1 to 5.x. Are corporate or volume discounts available?We offer both volume and corporate discounts. You can view our volume discounts by clicking here or contact us if you would like to discuss a corporate license. Can I load your programs onto a memory card?For each application, the “main” program (main prc file) can be loaded onto a memory card. However any library file (STEAM.prc, MathLib.prc or NSBRuntime.prc) must be loaded onto the handheld itself. If the library files are on a memory card a fatal error will result when attempting to run the application. Is your software compatible with “hacks”?Hacks are applications that modify the functionality of the operating system. All of our applications are fully compatible with unmodified Palm OS. However, if you are running a hack, you may experience problems. If you do, you must disable the hack before running our application. The only hack reported to cause problems as of November 8, 2003 is TealMaster TM by TealPoint Software TM. Why am I getting a “Problem reading from database ConvertDb” error?There are numerous unit converter applications for Palm OS®, most having an application name such as convert.prc or Converter.prc. If you have an application with the name Converter.prc loaded onto your handheld then load our application (also called Converter.prc) on top of it, you will get a “Problem reading from database ConvertDb” error. The conversion database will then be corrupted and results will be incorrect. If this happens, simply delete Converter.prc from your device, then reinstall. The program will now work as expected. How do I know if a new update is available?All customers are notified via e-mail when a new update is available. News of the updates are also seen on this site, and typically all publisher sites will show the new version number within 1 week of it first being released. Where can I purchase your products?You can purchase our Engineering software for Palm OS® through our web store. Our store accepts Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express. Can I place a phone or fax order?Fax orders can be arranged for large orders only. Please contact us if this option is required by your purchasing department. Can I get a copy of your demos as an “exe” type installer?Because of very few requests for this option it is no longer available. Why am I having problems when trying to load the documentation files (pdf and txt files) onto my Palm OS® device?These files are not formatted for Palm OS® and are meant to be accessed using your desktop computer.
